Today we are here with Laine from JennAir. JennAir is a manufacturer that we use for all our appliances when we build modern homes, and Laine is here to tell us a little bit more about her company

What can you tell me about JennAir, and the line that they have, but basically as a company? Give me some, some little bit description of what JennAir is all about.

There's a fun little back story. JennAir was actually founded back in 1947 by a guy named Lou Jenn, hence the name JennAir. And he came out with downdraft ventilation compared to the traditional updraft. So it was something that shook up the industry a little bit. It was totally new and different. So that was 50, 60, 70 years ago. 

Fast forward to now, when we were getting ready to launch our new JennAir brand, which is Noir, that we have on display, and then our Rise design, we wanted to tap back into that bold and progressive kind of forward-thinking that Lou Jenn displayed. So you'll see a lot of progressive features within our products. 

You'll see every kind of, daring and out there marketing for the brand, and all of that kind of come full circle to where we are now as the new and improved JennAir.

We describe JennAir in a couple of words.

If I had to describe the brand in three words, I would say defiant, bold, and progressive. 

So you'll see a lot of luxury touch points incorporated into the product design itself, but also in our marketing and the way that we speak to the brand. 

When I think of JennAir, I think of an appliance brand that is shaking up the market and changing the way that people view luxury appliances and what those, appliances can actually do for you. 

Jennair Kitchen Appliances - Features

We've incorporated some really impressive WiFi capability within the appliances. We've incorporated our beautiful obsidian interior into our refrigerator freezer columns, which is something that when you open them up, you get this wow experience, and it excites people. And let's be honest, how often do people get excited about appliances? So we've got this really almost sexy, provocative spin on appliances, especially within the Noir modern design.

- Tell me about the WiFi experience.

- Yeah, so we actually have a JennAir app that is capable to communicate and work with several of our appliances. So what we have on display in here, our wall ovens, for example, are WiFi capable. 

So there's a ton of functionality related to not only safety and service and support but also just the cooking experience in and of itself. So we've got our culinary center, which is JennAir exclusive, and that's really another wow moment for people when they start interacting with the appliances.

- Thank you. And again, we choose JennAir basically because, you know, I thought that your appliances are actually a good match to our architecture, which is a modern home. Tell me about the modern look of the JennAir appliances.

- Yes, Noir is our modern minimalistic design, which happens to be my favorite of the two. But, I like to describe it as simple yet alluring. And I don't say simple in a boring way. 

It's simple and it's sleek, it's elegant, but it kind of lures you in. So when you look at a Noir appliance, you're like, "Wow, that's really beautiful." And as you start to interact with it and touch and feel and experience the product, you'll find these really nice, simple touchpoints all throughout that really create that experience. 

So lots of expensive black glass on our Noir appliances, which is very modern in and of itself. And then you'll see a lot of lace etched textures, so on the back of the handle for the wall ovens and our commercial ranges, we have the knobs that have lace etching. So a lot of really simple design elements make it really, really sweet.

- It's funny because we have good reviews from our buyers. They all fall in love with the JennAir appliances. And obviously, when you have somebody telling you good things about the stuff that you're putting in the house, we would like, continue the relationship and perhaps, you know, innovate with more lines that are coming in the future from JennAir. But also, one of the questions that we have from buyers is warranties. 

Can you elaborate on the warranty?

- Yes, absolutely. So all JennAir appliances come with a standard two-year manufacturer's warranty. And then when it's through a certified installation, you actually get an additional year. So, totaling three years of manufacturer's warranty, which is wonderful. And another piece related to warranty is our JennAir customer experience centers. So when you think of the client's experience all throughout the time that they own the appliances, we have a dedicated team of very well-trained, wonderful folks that are there at the ready to help with any questions that might come up throughout the time that they are living in the unit with the appliances.
